About this conversation

Sybil Hunt talks with The Story Project's Helen Wilkinson about the Tet Fong brothers and their orchestra.

Sybil Hunt, a keen golfer, talks about her involvement with golf and the Uralla Golf Club since 1958. She talks about: the club's previous location and the land it is now on; the sand greens on the course until the 1960s; social events at the club, and Sybil's love of travelling and competing in golf tournaments. Sybil shares her sadness at being unable to travel to play golf regularly these days. She also shares memories of times gone by in Uralla, including the old Roxy Cinema, the Tet Fong's Orchestra and Sybil's time singing with them, and some of the Tet Fong family history, particularly that of Harry Tet Fong. She talks of music, her funeral, and what she would do if she had her time again. Sybil also shares some of what life was like during the Great Depression.
