About this conversation

Pastoralist, Owen Croft, and historian, Arnold Goode, share stories about the introduction of European bees, foxes and rabbits to the New England area.

This is a conversation between Uralla locals, Arnold Goode, who grew up on his great grandfather's land at Rocky River, and Owen Croft, who is from a long line of farmers. Both men talk about some of the changes they've seen in the flora and fauna over the years. They chart the introduction of the European bee, the rabbit, fox and European carp, as well as the changes in the forest coverage and the local fauna. They also talk about the hail abatement program and weather records.
